Our Goals & Vision

Engagement is our motto and a way of life at UNCG. The Staff Senate Engagement Committee fosters connections by identifying and coordinating activities or initiatives on campus that support community involvement and engagement among UNCG staff. A strong emphasis is placed on the Senate’s active presence and commitment to the UNCG community. Senators and their constituencies are encouraged to share their interests, needs, and ideas for engagement with the committee chairs throughout the year. Below are some of our long-standing programs and partnerships.

Spartan Open Pantry

Founded and operated by Wesley-Luther United Methodist Church, UNC Greensboro’s food pantry provides students and employees who need a little help at the end of the month, homeless students and families who depend on the pantry for complete support, and assists our neighbors who need a hand. The SOP is located in College Place UMC at 509 Tate St., on the corner of Tate and Spring Garden Street.  The pantry entrance is on the back side of the church off the parking lot. Free parking is available during pantry hours.
