The UNC System has received a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Instructor Training. We are providing a limited opportunity to complete this training online. The online training takes 8 hours to complete, but it does not have to be completed at once as you can log in and out of the platform as needed. Individuals that complete this training will be able to teach the QPR Gatekeeper courses, earn a 3-year QPR Certification and will receive 25 classroom QPR booklets to host their first training session. Those who complete the training will need to commit to teach at least 3 classes before the end of September.

It is important to note that the training contains sensitive information and can be triggering for some. Please use your discretion on whether the online format is most appropriate. You can contact Kelly Harrison, QPR Program Coordinator for the University of North Carolina System at [email protected], if you prefer an in-person training session.

Please complete the registration link to sign-up for the online training. If you have any questions, contact Kelly Harrison, QPR Program Coordinator for the University of North Carolina System at [email protected].
