Staff Senate Leadership 2025-2026

Carla Wilson, Chair

Carla Wilson is an Academic Technology Specialist in the School of Education at UNC Greensboro, where she supports faculty and staff in using instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning. With nearly 20 years in higher education and over eight at UNCG, she is passionate about empowering lifelong learners through training, development, and inclusive course design.

She has served as the Co-Chair of the UNCG Staff Senate (24-25) and represents the university as a delegate to the NC Staff Assembly (2023-present). In addition to her work in academic technology, she has taught courses in instructional design and student success, and contributes to system-wide initiatives focused on learning innovation.

Brynne Pulver, Vice Chair

Brynne Pulver is an Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor in Enrollment Management where she works to bring a strong commitment to shared governance, staff advocacy, and inclusive leadership. She plays an active role in advancing the Staff Senate’s mission to support professional development, foster collaboration, and amplify staff voices across the university.

With a background in higher education administration and a passion for service, Brynne contributes to strategic initiatives that enhance the staff experience and strengthen the UNCG community. Her leadership reflects a dedication to transparency, equity, and continuous improvement.

Scott Wilkens, Secretary

Scott Wilkens is a Foreign National-Payroll Tax Accountant in the Office of the Controller. A payroll tax professional with decades of experience, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and is currently enrolled at the Bryan School of Business of UNCG in the Master of Applied Economics program. Scott has been with UNCG for about a year working closely with foreign national students and employees. In his spare time Scott volunteers time and talents with Triad Pride Performing Arts both on and off the stage. And, most importantly, He and his partner DJ share five children, four grandchildren, and two very spoiled fur babies.

Shannon Lovett, Treasurer

Shannon Lovett is a Grants Specialist in the Office of Sponsored Programs. She joined UNC Greensboro in 2017. Her previous role was an Executive Assistant in the College of Art and Sciences, Dean’s Office.  

Shannon brings over 26 years of administrative experiences in education, corporate, and non-profit. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and Professional Studies and her Master of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences from UNCG.
