Run, Hide, Fight

UNCG Staff Senate will host a Run, Hide, Fight workshop on November 27, 2018 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM in the Police Department Building, Room 212. Space is limited and registration is required.

Angel Tree 2018

Happy Holidays!!! It is that time of year and Staff Senate would love for you to sign up to purchase gifts for our wonderful Angel Tree Families (FIVE OF THEM), to help make their holidays special. Find a particular item/items you would like to purchase, sign up, and shop. Please contact one of the following people to arrange a time to drop off your donation by December 7, 2018:

Bullard Award Nominations Open

Nominate faculty, staff and students who have shown outstanding leadership and service for the Gladys Strawn Bullard Award. Potential nominees are those who have gone above and beyond the normal expectations and community involvement of faculty, staff and students. Winners will be granted a $1,000 award. To nominate someone, go to Gladys Strawn Bullard Award Nomination Form  before December 12th.

The Gladys Strawn Bullard Awards were established in 1981 with an endowed gift honoring the late Mrs. Bullard, an alumna of UNC Greensboro. She was president of the UNCG Alumni Association and a member and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. For more information about the award and nomination process, email


UNCG Staff Senate will host a Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED course on December 14, 2018 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. This certification course will be held in the Kaplan Center and costs $27.00 per participant. This is the basic level course incorporating the latest science and teaching to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, and cardiac emergencies.

Snacks will be provided. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer date is December 14th.  Staff Senate will be helping families build and improve places to call home. We need at least two more volunteers. The work this day, starting at 7:45 am, will be indoors, working on vinyl floor installation. No experience necessary. Lunch will be provided. Please contact Katherine Stamey if you are interested.
